About Jason M Jones

Dr. Jones is an ABEM board certified physician in both Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Duke University and his Medical Doctorate from the University of Texas. He completed an Emergency Medicine residency and a subsequent EMS fellowship at the University of Florida.

Dr. Jones serves in a variety of roles: Emergency Medicine clinical faculty (since 2014), EMS Division Chief (2016), EMS Fellowship Director (2016), UF Football Game Day Stadium Medical Director (2016), Medical Director of Alachua County Fire Rescue (2016), Co-Director of UF’s undergraduate Gator Emergency Medical Response Unit (2019), Medical Director of High Springs Fire Department (2019), Medical Director of Santa Fe College’s Paramedic and EMT Programs (2020), Medical Director of Newberry Fire Department (2023), and EMS Director of the UF Health Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit (2023).

While prehospital and emergency care are his primary focus, Dr. Jones also has research interests in airway management, non-invasive ventilation, stroke, and acute coronary syndrome.
