About Meredith C Thompson

Dr. Thompson earned a B.S. in Microbiology and Cell Science with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Florida, and completed her medical training at the University of Virginia. She continued her residency education in Emergency Medicine at the University of Virginia, where she served as chief resident and also completed a fellowship in Medical Education. After fellowship, Dr. Thompson joined the UF faculty in 2018. She divides her clinical time between the main adult emergency department and the freestanding emergency departments at Springhill and Kanapaha.

Dr. Thompson has a robust interest in medical student and resident education. Her current scholarly interests include trainee wellness, job satisfaction of academic faculty, curriculum innovations, simulation, and EPAs.
