About Thao D Jinwright
Thao Jinwright is an Assistant Professor at the University of Florida’s School of Physician Assistant Studies (UF SPAS), having joined the faculty in 2020. In addition to her primary role, she currently serves as the Director of Admissions for the UF SPAS. She is a proud double Gator alumna, with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science in 2007 and Master of Physician Assistant Studies in 2013.
In her role as a faculty member, Ms. Jinwright is passionate about mentorship and the development of future healthcare professionals. She is actively involved in procedural and small group learning, course directing, and employing innovative teaching methods to foster technical skills and competency-based curricula.
Ms. Jinwright has over ten years of experience as an Emergency Medicine PA. Her clinical interests are centered on quality assurance and improvement, patient safety initiatives, Critical Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Women’s Health.
Ms. Jinwright is an active member of the Physician Assistant Educations Association (PAEA), the Society of Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants (SEMPA), the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA) where she contributes to the work of various committees. Her involvement in these organizations underscores her commitment to shaping the future of healthcare on a broader scale.
