Why UF EM?
- I wanted to come back to my undergraduate Alma Mater to help define the legacy that is UFHealth. In my small humble hometown called Palatka, just down the road from Gainesville, UF Health is regarded as the flagship hospital of the state. I believe that to be true. In just a few shifts here the pathology presented has already shown itself to be broad and life threatening in many cases. UF has the resources of a large academic center with the patient population of a community hospital and casts a large net all across the southeast for the ill and under-served. I longed to again call myself a Gator and to have my loved ones close by for support through this difficult yet defining time. Go Gators!
