The University of Florida Department of Emergency Medicine’s Division of Critical Care Medicine serves critically ill patients, advances critical care education and produces cutting-edge research. The division bridges critical care from outpatient to inpatient through education, research, and clinical excellence centered around the critically ill patient.

Education

As an academic health center, the Division also has one of the largest Critical Care Medicine Fellowships in the country. The fellowship’s goal is to develop well-rounded Emergency Medicine Intensivists capable of treating critically ill patients with any variety of pathophysiology.

ECMO Training Track

The ECMO Training Track is an optional pathway within the UF Critical Care Fellowship, designed to provide in-depth exposure to extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) for up to two fellows.
