Jason Jones is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Florida. He joined the faculty after completing an Emergency Medicine residency and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) fellowship at the University of Florida.
Prior to life as a Florida Gator, Dr. Jones was a native of Dallas, Texas. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in public policy at Duke University and received his medical doctorate from the University of Texas.
Dr. Jones is board certified in Emergency Medicine and in Emergency Medical Services. He is the Fellowship Director of UF’s ACGME-accredited Emergency Medical Services (EMS) fellowship. He also serves as Medical Director of Alachua County Fire Rescue (ACFR), Associate Medical Director of Lake EMS, and UF Football Gameday Medical Director.
