We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Philip Kayser, MD, MBA, as a Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of Informatics in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Gainesville! 🐊

Dr. Kayser brings a passion for clinical education and innovation to our team. He completed a Clinical Ultrasound Fellowship at the University of Kentucky and earned an MBA for Leaders in Healthcare from UK’s Gatton College of Business and Economics. During his EM residency at UK, he served as Academic Chief Resident and earned his medical degree from Wake Forest School of Medicine.

He finds great joy in working with learners and has a special interest in teaching advanced POCUS applications, including regional anesthesia, TEE, transcranial Doppler, and MSK. With a background in econometrics and business administration, Dr. Kayser is also focused on leveraging AI and informatics to enhance operational workflows in emergency medicine.

Outside the ED, you might find him restoring his 1987 El Camino SS, catching up on podcasts, or spending quality time with his fiancée, Dr. Claudia Loyola, who is also joining UF as a hospitalist.
