Ultrasound Fellowship receives accreditation

The Emergency Medicine Department is happy to announce that the Ultrasound Fellowship has been accredited by The Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship Accreditation Council (EUFAC) for a period of 3 years! (https://eufacouncil.org) This is a very important milestone as it will allow our graduates to sit for the American Board of Emergency Medicine – Focused Practice Designation exam starting next year (https://eufacouncil.org/abem-announces-aemus-fpd-exam-application-period-now-open/) Having the EUFAC accreditation indicates that we are providing the highest quality of training in advanced ultrasound for our fellows, residents, and medical students. We are very proud of this accomplishment. Our faculty was created in 2012 by Dr Leslie Connor Nickels and has graduated 7 fellows. We will have two incoming fellows for the 2021-2022 academic year.
