The University of Florida College of Medicine’s Department of Emergency Medicine in Gainesville, Florida, is seeking talented, highly motivated emergency medicine physicians to join our robust dynamic department of 44 faculty, with an expanding residency program and increased fellowship opportunities.

The department of emergency medicine is part of the UF Health Shands Hospital and Academic Health Center, which is north central Florida’s largest teaching institution, a Level 1 trauma center and burn center, and the major referral center for the North Florida region.

Emergency medicine faculty and fellows will enjoy the academic benefits of working in one of the country’s few academic health centers with six health-related professional colleges, nine major research institutes and versatile research facilities located on a single contiguous major university campus. There are numerous opportunities with our department ad within the UF College of Medicine for emergency physicians with teaching research, and administrative interests.
