Emergency Medicine faculty instruct students at third annual “Procedurepalooza” event

flyer Faculty from the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Department of Anesthesiology served as instructors for the 3rd annual “Procedurepalooza,” a mass procedure lab organized by the College of Medicine Emergency Medicine Student Association. Held in December 2014, approximately 200 first and second year medical students in attendance learned how to start IVs, suture, splint, intubate and perform ultrasound studies. For most of the students, this was their first time performing any of these procedures. The event was also attended by Dr. Fantone, Senior Dean for Medical Education, and Dr. Good, Dean of the College of Medicine.
