UF Health Shands Emergency Center – Springhill

Located on NW 39th Avenue one mile east of I-75, the free-standing emergency department in the Springhill section of Northwest Gainesville is housed in a completely renovated 8,500-square-foot building, beautifully retrofitted to include all of technology and diagnostic resources necessary for emergency care.

UF Health Emergency Center – Kanapaha

Located on Southwest Archer Road near Tower Road, west of Interstate 75, the new UF Health Emergency Center – Kanapaha opened on October 1st, 2016. The 10,881-square-foot emergency center features 10 exam rooms, one room dedicated to trauma care and the full complement of diagnostic radiology and laboratory services needed, room, including CT scans.

The UF Health Shands Trauma Center, located on the first floor of the UF Health Shands Cancer Hospital complex, provides advanced critical care, emergency and trauma medicine to the people of north central Florida in one of the most carefully designed and sophisticated facilities of its kind.

Pediatric Emergency Department

The Pediatric E.R. is staffed by seven UF board-certified or board-eligible pediatric emergency medicine physicians and 22 Shands pediatric-trained emergency medicine registered nurses. The team can treat up to 24,000 pediatric emergency patients a year.
