Bucciarelli, Payton, and Falgiani, patients do not have adequate knowledge about the costs and services associated with freestanding emergency departments (FSED). These results were determined from a 19-item survey distributed to Springhill FSED patients over a 3-month span. The research emphasizes the importance of marketing and education to ensure patients and potential patients are informed about the FSED services.
