Patients lack knowledge about freestanding emergency department costs and services
According to a research article published by Drs. Bucciarelli, Payton, and Falgiani, patients do not have adequate knowledge about the costs and services associated with freestanding emergency departments (FSED). These results were determined from a 19-item survey distributed to Springhill FSED patients over a 3-month span. The research emphasizes the importance of marketing and education to ensure patients and potential patients are informed about the FSED services.
